![]() The oldest Bentley in the rally, was Mr.Kurihara's 1926 3 litres in the most right side in the above picture. The entry list is shown here. The number of prewar cars was 8 cars of which 5 cars was Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars; of total 56 entries. ![]() The first competition was by go cart racing at the 'Rental Go Cart F1 DREAM Hiratsuka'. The circuit racing time results were calculated into the total competition records. ![]() The left side car, was Mr.Wada's 1938 Wraith, and the right side car, was Mr.Umeda's 1934 PhantomII Thrupp & Maberly. ![]() The rest place was the park near the Atami Korakuen Hotel. The 1937 MG run quickly in the Orange Line road through orange orchards near Yugawara. The MG car driver from Tochigi prefecture, was an organizer of 'The 1st Auffahren SATSUKI strabe(Azalea Rally in Kanuma-city Satsuki Festival)' held on May 26, 2002. ![]() The famous historic sports car collector, Kofu's Mr.Suzuki's Lagonda, was driven by Mr.Ichimura. The co-driver was Mr.Munehisa Mishige, a famous classic car jurnalist and historian. ![]() Mr.Suzuki, a famous historic sports car collector and driver, entried two cars; 1936 Bugatti and the above Lagonda. He drove the Bugatti with beautiful crystal glass French cock mascot. ![]() We, all RRBCJ members of participants of Giro della Riviera 2002, drivers, co-drivers and supporters, were taken in this commemorative photo. So so, some car somehow could climb the steep mountain slopes before the gate of the Hotel Spauza Odawara. ![]() About 650 volunteers supported the Giro della Riviera(GR) 2002. Thank you for the office of GR2002 and Rotarian volunteers activity very much. ![]() Mr.Kasahara, a member of RRBCJ, owns a long stretch Spur Limousine/non sports car. In this GR2002 event, he drove the 1959 Morgan Plus 4. The RRBCJ members cheered the Morgan on the highway gate of Hiratsuka in the Odawara-Atsugi highway. ![]() Was the kneeling Wraith chasing the Boat tail? No, it was not chasing. But, it was guarding the back of the Boat tail. And watching on the smoke from the exhaust pipe of Boat Tail, might be. ![]() Mr.Mishige pictured the above running shot from his co-driving 1938 Lagonda which red-colored rear fender was seen in the left bottom corner of the picture. ![]() In the top group, the 1926 Bentley 3 litres of light weight had competed with the 1929 Bentley 6.5 litres of heavy weight. The driver of the light weight 1926 Bentley 3 litres, Mr.Kurihara, smiled with a sense of satisfaction by the nice speedy driving. ![]() All of RRBCJ member's cars, arrived at the exotic sea-food restaurant, 'Tycoon', Yokohama. ![]() At the Misaki marine/fish products local market, the cars took about one hour rest. It was cloudy all day long on Sunday, fortunately in the rainy season. The next week, it rained on almost of week days. ![]() The 1928 New Phantom Boat Tail, run so elegantly that it arrived at the goal at last, climbing the very steep slopes in the entrance road of Hayama Kokusai, which arrival order was the last of the ranking in 2002 as in year 2001 competition. After the award-giving ceremony at the Hayama International Country Golf Club house, the final and important job, was to back home safely. Reunion and See you in the Giro della Riviera 2003.
